Cars - New Teaser

At first I heard there was going to be a movie about talking cars, and I couldn't help but think "LAME!" Now, though, as more visuals from the movie come out, I can't help but be impressed by the look of this film. Maybe I'll give it a chance.

C'etait un Rendezvous

What do you get when a filmmaker has his race car driver buddy strap a gyro-stabilized camera to the front of his Ferrari and tearass through the streets of 1976 Paris? An amazing video, is what you get. This clip features chills, thrills, and notable Paris landmarks, not to mention an amazing sense of speed. They didn't block off any streets or warn any people or anything, and the first time the filmmaker showed the film in public he was arrested. The actual driver is unknown to this day. Yours Truly made a short cycled animation earlier this week as a tribute to the love between a certain dog and its favorite stuffed rabbit. Inspired by YTMND, it was combined with one of the most rocking songs of all time to create a one-of-a-kind Thankgiving greeting (although you have to watch to the very end to see any mention of Thanksgiving). So today you can give thanks, for an extra link.

Stick Figure Death Theater

Flash Mind Reader

This flash app will read your mind. Sort of. Very intriguing at first, but then you can probably tell how it's done. This is really more of an "are you smarter than will" test. It took me about 40 seconds to figure out how they did it. Can you beat my time? Thanks to Reuben for the heads up on this one.

Project of Carlos Baena, Pixar animator and general badass. I didn't know fingerboarding was really something that could be done this well, but his movie has showed me wrong.

Infected with Martin Sargent

The former late night host of Tech TV's Unscrewed is back, and, it's nice to see, still really funny. The new form he has taken is that of a podcast called Infected. They talk about tech news and weird stuff, and a highlight of the episode is the commercials they do for their sponsor, The Olive Garden.

Cartoons. Free cartoons. Available for download in an ipod friendly format. (that last part would be even more awesome if I wasn't too poor to have an ipod). Oh well, quicktime will have to do. Even more awesome, they support independent artists, using this podcast as a way to showcase the works of individuals.

Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny

Official site for the forthcoming Tenacious D movie. If you're very religious, you might want to stay away, however. Satan seems to be heavily involved in the movie, going so far as to executive produce. There are a couple of fun clips on here right now with, I can only hope, more to come soon. Long live the D.

Smurf Town under fire

This is a unicef ad running on Belgian television to illustrate the horrors of war. War, already helacious, has even reached the smurfs. Poor little blue guys. Thanks to Reuben for the tip off on this.

Eat Hufu

This page advertises and sells a product that claims to be the tofu-based equivilent of Human Flesh. Just think of how tofu-pups put that delicious bean curd in the place of the assorted pig odds and ends that usually make up hotdogs. It's like that, but with people. Thanks to Zensho for the link.

Squidbillies - Floor It

Game featuring the Squidbillies, straight from their new show during the sunday night adult swim time block on cartoon network. It's a fun game, no matter if you're into the show or not. The things that characters say ruined my first few games by making me laugh to hard to be able to control the game properly.

Tiki Bar TV

The tagline is "Forbidden Cocktails in a Swank Pad." The content is a video podcast featuring Dr. Tiki, a man of medicine who write perscriptions for cocktails. He's regularly joined by the bartender, Johnny Johnny, and a hot chick, Lala. All 9 episodes completed so far can be found on this site.
