It's a design and music website for an individual, I think. The navigation system is super awesome and way flashy, without being obnoxious. It succeeds where others fail. I could revolve it for hours. I may be wrong about it being a personal portfolio, but I'm definitely correct about it being fun!

50 Greatest Local TV commercials

Someone has assembled some amazing clips of local TV commercials. I personally love obnoxious local "celebrities" and their cut rate advertising, and I'm a little sad that I don't live in a place where I can see some of these on TV regularly. Thank God this page exists!

BombayTV

This site lets you quickly add your own subtitles to short movie clips from India. Endlessly hilarious. If you make one, and I encourage you to do so, post a link in the comments so I can see what you have to offer. I'll start us out, but I'm sure you can come up with something equally worthwhile. Google Maps: NYC to Paris, France

Here are the directions provided by Google Maps that will take you from New York City to Paris. Read the steps, but pay special attention to instruction number 23.

Arrested Development

It's the best comedy ever to air on American television. I know that sounds like an opinion, but once you watch it, you'll know that it's a fact. Sadly canceled in its prime, Arrested Development is now available for free viewing on MSN. If you watch it as religiously as I do, we can get together later and have whole conversations consisting of nothing but quotations and inside jokes.

Day of Dots Clock

Each dot represents a second of the day. As they change from pink to black, you can see an interesting representation that very quickly gives you an idea of what fraction of the day has passed. Neat.

Bloons

It's a flash game where you help a monkey throw some darts and pop balloons. I've been away for a while, so I'm happy to return with this one because it is both a huge waste of time and vastly entertaining. Have fun with the special balloons and crazy surfaces. Let me know if you beat all the levels. I did. It took way longer than I should have spent.

Long Vacation Megapost

So, it's time for yet another vacation. This time I'm going to be out for a little more than a month. During this month I will be travelling and moving back to the good ol' USA!

This is one of my favorite podcasts. Hosts Pauly B. Edwards and Tony Hearn, both performers and musicians themselves, play a lot of cool punk music. Also they interact with each other between songs, and with their audience via email and myspace. It's weekly and it's excellent.

This one is really simple and really fun. There's a big white board and you can drag letters around on it and spell things, much like you did with those alphabet refrigerator magnets we all played with as little kids and then later used to spell naughty things as we entered our teenage years. The only difference here is that it's online and that you aren't the only one sliding the letters. It's fun to interact.

Liam Lynch is one of my favorite people on the internet. He does a lot of different things. He's a musician, his most successful song being "My United States of Whatever," I think. He's the creator of the Silf + Olly show and the director of both "Sarah Silverman: Jesus is Magic" and "Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny." He also creates his own podcast called LynchLand, which is very well done. He makes a lot of stuff and he does it well.

And finally, speaking of people I love to follow, there is Rob Schrab. He drew the comic "Scud, the Disposable Assassin." He created Channel101.com with Dan Harmon. The two of them also wrote "Monster House" and the forthcoming "Kung-Fu Panda," which is currently in production at Dreamworks. Also, on a more obscure note, he was a member of The Dead Alewives, which recorded one CD and forever associated Funyuns and Mountain Dew with Dungeons and Dragons. Now he's vlogging his time drawing the final issue of Scud. Definitely check it out.
