Relationship Obituaries

This is a site where you can write an obituary for your dead relationship. Or you can go read about other people falling apart, if that's your thing. Some of these are annoyingly emo, but some are actually kind of funny. The jury is still out on whether or not I would post to something like tihs, but I sure don't mind taking a look.

KitKat- Break Ultime

Another commercial, but I don't care. This CG short looks great. Makes me want to eat KitKats, as well, which is weird, but I don't really care for KitKats very much. Follow the main character as he tries to take a break from his somewhat awful workday experience. It really works well.

Mouth Eyes

I hope you're ready to see something creepy. Here is a collection of images where there subjects' mouth has been photoshopped in two more times in place of their eyes. They're almost all creepy. Many are very well done, which makes them even more creepy, since more detail only adds to the effect. Shudder.

Jeff Russell's Starship Dimensions

Have you ever wondered how starships from different sci-fi universes would measure up against each other? If so, here's the reference you've been looking for. From the smallest at 3.5 meters to the largest at 299,300,000 km, there's a lot of information here. You can also see visual representations side by side from craft lumped into size brackets.

My Paper Mind

Here's some experimental animation with paper cutouts. Each frame receedes away from the camera as the next appears in it's place, adding some cool trail effects to the motion. There's some breakdowns of how the animation was made as well. It works extremely well.

Today is the day.

This is some kind of very involved sequential art project done with photographs. The main subject is a foam man, as well as things made from the foam man. It's pretty interesting, and looks like it took a LOT of time and effort. Thanks to Dave for the link.

Edouard Guiton

An illustration portfolio. This guy is amazing. His illustrations range from children, sci-fi, fantasty and more. He's got a ton of pics and not one of them is bad. Click through and enjoy his black and white renderings. Thanks to Bryan for the link.

Rock Your Glock

This one speaks for itself. I don't have a gun, but if I ever get one, I really want to get one like this. I didn't know it, but it seems like you can customize a lot of different parts of the gun. This outfit specializes in barrel and slide engraving. Check out what you can get!

Saul Bass's Star Wars

This is what the titles for Star Wars might look like if they were made by 60's designer Saul Bass. It's very cool, but definitely would have set the tone for the movies much differently. Thanks to Angie for the link.

Garfield Minus Garfield

This has already made it's way around the internet pretty well, but here it is anyway. Garfield Minus Garfield are regular Jim Davix Garfield comic strips with Garfield totally removed. What's left is a crazy Jon Arbuckle. Definitely funny, and definitely much darker than the originals. As the site itself puts it:
Let’s laugh and learn with him on a journey deep into the tortured mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness in a quiet American suburb.
