Radiohead and 3D Scanning

Over the past couple of days the internet has been abuzz about the new Radiohead video which was created using exclusively 3D scans. LS3D, friend of the site and 3D scanning artist, explains it this way: "The video was created using two different scanning methods, laser and structured light. It's encouraging to see fine artists using technology instead of abhorring it. In an exciting move, Radiohead released the raw data from the session as a CSV sequence which I was able to process into a polygonal mesh to reveal what Mr. York looked like during the capture session." That's right, he reconstitued the data into a 3D solid, and posted it on his blog, which is currently the only place you can find the image. His post also contains links to the video itself as well as a short "making of" documentary. Thanks to LS3D for the link!
